Come join Awesöme Orchestra at The Exploratorium for another After Dark musical adventure! To kick off October, we'll be performing some spine-tingling film scores including Danny Elfman's main title theme to BATMAN 🦇 selections from James Horner's CASPER 👻 as well as his thrilling end credits sequence to THE ROCKETEER 🚀
On Thursdays at the Exploratorium, After Dark is a portal to a new world of fun. Come out and play with over 700 exhibits that will turn your perspective upside-down—sometimes literally. Investigate your reflection in the Giant Concave Mirror, find the missing colors in their Monochrome Room, and much more. Costumes are optional as we celebrate the start of Halloween Season!

MUSICIANS
*This event is 18+*
You must sign up before September 23, and some sections will fill up in the first few minutes.
We have space for: 9 flutes, 8 oboes, 10 clarinets, 8 bassoons, 4 saxophones, 10 horns, 10 trumpets, 10 trombones, 4 tubas, 10 percussion, 4 harps, 6 keyboards, 32 violins, 16 violas, 16 cellos, 8 double basses.
Waitlist Protocol
Our community of musicians is growing (which is AWESOME), but sometimes that means that some sections fill up quickly (especially flutes and clarinets). You can still sign-up via the form, but if you notice on the form that your instrument has a “this section is now FULL but you can still sign up to be on the waitlist” tag on it, don’t despair! We usually take players off the waitlist as some folks’ plans change. When that happens, you’ll be notified by your Section Ambassadors via email.
AUDIENCE
There’s no RSVP needed for this event. If you would like to attend make sure to purchase a ticket from the Exploratorium.
We also have a small number of free tickets for this event, as it’s in our mission to make our sessions accessible and open to the public. If you’d like to be added to the list, you can email our Operations Director, Adriana to see if we have any remaining tickets.
