Awesöme Orchestra is honored to be collaborating again with vocalist PHER and arranger Mike Blankenship for the Stevie Wonder classic "If It's Magic" as well as guest vocalist, violist, and arranger Keith Lawrence will be performing his stirring arrangement of Sam Cooke's "A Change Is Gonna Come" with Cosa Nostra Strings. Also, as a special sneak-peak of our 2025 season, we’ll be premiering a new arrangement by Vince Rillera of an Aretha Franklin classic “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” with Bay Area vocalist Chika Di.
Alongside our Artistic Director Dave Möschler and Associate Artistic Director Brian Adam McCune, we're honored to welcome back three local conductors who have long been part of the Awesöme Orchestra Collective community - Sue Crum, Martha Stoddard, and Dr. Sixto F. Montesinos Jr. who will lead the orchestra through new pieces by celebrated Bay Area composer Gabriela Lena Frank, Lillian Yee, and Prasad Vidhyabaskaran.
We'll close out the evening with a new arrangement of music from James Horner's score to The Rocketeer and Oscar Navarro's soul-stirring Libertadores. You don’t want to miss this amazing line-up!

WHERE: Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse 2020 Addison St, Berkeley, CA
COST: Free for participating musicians. Audience members can buy tickets here ($32). A limited number of seats will be saved for walk-ups on the day of the concert for donation. No one turned away for lack of funds (until we hit venue capacity!)
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: Would you like a free ticket to the concert? Sign up to volunteer as an usher or Front of House staff member for the evening. We need about 6 volunteers, so first come first served! For more information, email operations@awesomeorchestra.org
